Log:Session 167 (Meta, no ontology)

From Mazeworld

<Hebizuka> *Welcome back to the Mazes, Apologue. You are currently in Arnett, Residential Area #1, entrance lobby. The receptionist at the lobby, a middle-aged human female, is the only other person in the room, and you were discussing about what the UA is and where to find the next town.* > Apologue stumbles as she'd dropped back into the game, feeling a little shaky as she's returned. The words make her feel like she was just sent a system announcement. "It's like I'm stuck in some weird VR game." she mumbles to herself before putting a hand to her head. "Ugh, what were we doing again? Something about this town or hotel? Or was it balefire and mega spells, I can't remember." <Tempest> [Citizen] We were dicsussing about where you came from and how to leave this town to find other towns, I believe. <Tempest> [Citizen] Like I said before, take the south exit in the Social Square, go through the town entrance, say hi to the lazy fucks that call themselves TownSec, and continue South until you reach the doors to the UA. <Tempest> [Citizen] As for where exactly you could go, I'm not sure. You could try going to Outpost Trion if you want to find a lot of shops, but it's a military town. > Apologue crosses her arms and nods a couple times as she's listening. "So what you're saying is.....that I should piss off. Kindly. Fair enough, thanks for the directions!" she chimes out and dashes off towards wherever this social place the person mentioned. Better than sticking around some halfway house anyway, especially one that was lacking in good drink. "So....Shops or monster fighting? I need to fight some monsters... <Apologue> I need to fight some monsters...and find a good blacksmith or something. These games have blacksmiths, right?" Her words ramble on and on before she simply looks up expectantly at the heavens, as if they were to give her another system announcement. When that didn't happen she shrugged and trogged on towards the town exit. <Hebizuka> *Direct yourself towards the Town Entrance?* <Hebizuka> *Simply asking for confirmation here* <Apologue> Yes. <Hebizuka> *Fast traveling...* > Apologue watches the world go by in fast forward. <Hebizuka> *14 turns have passed, during which you traveled through as many rooms.* <Hebizuka> [Location] Arnett, Town Entrance, Gap corridor. <Hebizuka> [Directions] East: Town Generator ; South: Town Gate // North (previous): Social Square (south entrance) <Hebizuka> *The Gap corridor is devoid of furniture or people. It's just that, a gap corridor.* <Hebizuka> *Signs point that the exit is to the south.* > Apologue hums and looks around. But what to do. "Oh great moderators in the sky, which way should I tumble?" she proclaims loudly and then walks forward, hopefully into a low level monster zone that she could grind and get a handle on the combat system with. <Hebizuka> *First, you gotta leave town and check out with TownSec, a new town feature that we introduced along with Town Halls.* <Hebizuka> *Once that's done, I'm barreling you to fight some monsters.* > Apologue waves her hands at the sky gods. "Fine! I'll go talk to the earldormen!" she says aloud and stomps back into the city, going to find this alleged 'city hall'. <Hebizuka> *No no no. Just go south.* <Hebizuka> *We need to get you out of town. Not back in.* > Apologue leers at the sky gods and then walks south, towards the sideways sun. <Hebizuka> [Location] Town Entrance, Town Gate. <Hebizuka> *You find three Citizens standing around in this room which is called the Town Gate. You notice they all carry a strange little badge. Two of them carry melee weapons (One has a sort of staff, the other a cane). The third carries a submachine gun.* > Apologue hums and stares at the building, unsure how to enter. The one before just seemed to open on it's own. Does she....oh. There we go. It opened up. Neat. "Greetings, humans! I'm...er...here. Dammit, where's the dialogue tree." she says looking around and scratching her head. Eventually she gives up and audibly sighs. "I'm looking for the town secretary? I think? That's what the moderators were telling me...or sky gods. <Apologue> "Not sure which. Either way, that's what I'm doing!" <Tempest> *The three armed citizens stare at you, giving each other weird glances.* <Tempest> [TownSec #3] Are you the girl they fixed up in that lab? > Apologue blinks and looks down at her poofy pants. "I want to say yes. But I'm not even sure at this point. but let's humor you then. So yes." <Tempest> [TownSec #3] Okay, great... I'm part of Town Security, we are on guard duty. Usually anyone who gets in is checked in and they can check out, but since we never actually saw you get in... <Tempest> *He flashes his badge - which confirms what he says: "ARNETT TOWN SECURITY", along with a badge number and his name, but he takes it away before you can read it.* <Tempest> [TownSec #3] We were notified by Dr Gage that you'd be coming here sometime soon. You do confirm your name is... er... Apologue Rosylin Tale, or something like that? > Apologue is hit with flash, is stunned for a moment, sees spots. "Er....yeah. That'sa me." <Tempest> [TownSec #3] Well, that checks out. Be careful out there, ma'am. Feel free to come back anytime soon. <Hebizuka> [Directions] East: Toilets, South: Access corridor (last stop before the UA) // North (prev): Gap corridor > Apologue nods approvingly as she sees the toilets, hopefully they're not the only ones in existance. "Right, found the bathroom, found the exit. Let's go....do a thing!" she cheer half assedly and walks out into the access corridor and into the unknown beyond. <Hebizuka> *No, it's not the only toilets in town, I promise.* <Hebizuka> [Location] Town Entrance / Access corridor <Hebizuka> *This is an empty room. Behind you, a sign that says "WELCOME TO ARNETT", faded and rusty, above the door you just passed. The room is empty, apart from a myriad of faded and torn-away posters and placards advertising about anything and everything.* <Hebizuka> *Before you, the doors to the Uncivilized Area, the great beyond of random Mazes.* <Hebizuka> *You can review your gear and make checks one last time before jumping out.* > Apologue blinks, a little surprised. "Huh, who thought the town would need posters. That's not creepy." she mumbles to herself and then starts walking out of the room into the Uncivilized Area <Hebizuka> *Leaving Arnett for the UA...* <Hebizuka> *Please wait.* <Hebizuka> *Do you wish to head for Outpost Trion (undiscovered yet) or search for a new town?* > Apologue scratches her nose. "Why not, magical loading screen. Off to Trion!" <Hebizuka> *Select a traveling style.* Fast (Speed+, Danger+, Explorables-), Safe (Danger-, Speed-, Explorables--), Deep (Explorables+, Speed--, Danger++) > Apologue squints her eyes. "Why does Deep have two plusses to the Danger? Shouldn't it be neutral?" <Hebizuka> *Deep _increases_ the chances of encounter and the overall danger level of traveling in the UA.* > Apologue rumbles softly to herself. "Alright, well. It's my first outing. Let's go with Safe. To be safe." she nods assuredly and clicks the button. <Hebizuka> *The next town will be in 27 rooms.* > Apologue clicks her tongue. "Whew. Long way. I....well I think." <Hebizuka> *You will be shown three doors, three options to choose from. Every time you're finished in a room of the UA, request the next doors, rinse and repeat until you reach the next town.* <Hebizuka> [Next rooms] Left: Classroom, abandoned // Front: Roadway // Right: Empty forge, abandoned > Apologue strokes her chin. "Let's peek at the forge. Blacksmithing was always cool. Prolly looted bare tho." <Hebizuka> *An abandoned, empty forge, which once was the workplace of a blacksmith. Most of the tools and the furniture has been gutted out, the place is a hollowed-out shadow of its old self. You spot ammunition on the floor...* > Apologue examines it for traps! <Hebizuka> *There are no traps.* > Apologue picks up the ammunition. What kind it is! It's a mystery! <Hebizuka> [Ammunition] .44 Magnum, Standard LSWC, 4 rounds - Weight: 0.08 > Apologue adds it to a pocket? Where does this even go? <Hebizuka> *Such ammunition can be carried in Vest/General capacity, or in the backpack.* > Apologue tosses it into her backpack. <Hebizuka> [Backpack/Main] 0.08 /20 > Apologue claps her hands. "Alright, I did a thing and I didn't explode. So far so good. Next room!" <Hebizuka> [Next rooms] Left: Pathway // Front: Corridor // Right: Bedroom, deserted > Apologue takes a right! Can't be that bad! <Apologue> I'm gunna go get some food with my dad for a few. can we pause for like half an hour. I'll let you know if I can't come back.) <Hebizuka> *A recently-deserted bedroom. It looks like it was still part of a town not too long ago, just that all the occupants are gone... You see a searchable desk, a container, and several items on the floor: some ammo, a medical item, and a bundle of mushrooms.* > Apologue licks her lips a couple times and starts picking up the little drop bundles. Neat. More free stuff. <Hebizuka> *You find the following in the desk:* <Hebizuka> [Key item] A key. A serial number can be read on it (4447) <Hebizuka> *On the floor...* <Hebizuka> [Ammunition] 7.92x33mm Kurz, Standard AP, 3 rounds - Weight: 0.06 <Hebizuka> [Meds] Nitrous oxide inhaler - Pain sensitivity -50%, Nausea for 1d6+2 turns - Weight: 0.1 <Hebizuka> [Mushroom] (Normal) Yellow, Odorless - Unidentified - Weight: 0.01 - [Quantity: 5] <Hebizuka> *The container is trickier, however. <Hebizuka> [Container] Frame: Metal - Lock: Yes, electronic - Serial number: CB67 - Trapped: Yes <Hebizuka> *It looks like it's very secure, which suggests it might contain even nicer loot...* > Apologue taps her chin. Really wishing she had an electronic pick right about now. Still. "Hey, Sky gods. How heavy is the metal loot container?" <Hebizuka> *It can't be lifted, let alone taken in your inventory.* > Apologue curses. Looks like she's not gunna get the loot since she can't really think of a way to open it. It's not like there's a convenient way to remember the room...or is there? "Little help here, sky gods?" <Hebizuka> *If you can't get everything in a room, don't worry. You won't have all gear and equipment at first. If you can't open this container there will be more opportunities in the future.* <Hebizuka> *Anyway, do you confirm you're taking all the other items?* > Apologue le nods. "Indeed I am, magical teleprompter. Do I just copy paste that all into my loot sack?" <Hebizuka> *Just make sure to tell me where you want them, in tacvest/general or in backpack.* <Apologue> "Backpack, of course. Don't think I'll need any of it for my one solitary gun. And....yeah. Pretty much." <Hebizuka> *Key 4447 added to keyring - now part of your key items.* <Hebizuka> [Pack/Main] 0.25 /20 <Hebizuka> [Next rooms] Left: Roadway / Front: Corridor / Right: Studio room, forsaken > Apologue idly wonders if jumping will raise her acrobatics or if she can just do a hoofstand on her own as she walks into the Roadway. Maybe they can speed things up. <Hebizuka> *That's doubtful.* <Hebizuka> *A roadway ; merely an empty room that only serves as a road towards the next room. You spot a weapon on the floor...* > Apologue looks up at the skybox. "Great, now I'm talking to the great magic eightball in the sky." > Apologue le picks up the weapon. "Aww yis. A gun. Nice." <Hebizuka> [Weapon] Class 3 - R1/Common - IZHMEKH Makarov PM pistol | 9x18mm Makarov - Semi-auto - 3.68" | No accessory | PM 8-round mag, +1 | Weight: 2 - [7+1/8, FMJ] - Cond: Excellent / Clns: Clean > Apologue thinks she equipped the gun correctly, as she awkwardly holds it in her off hand. <Hebizuka> *What to do with the Makarov PM?* >Equip in Holster 1 or 2 (recommended) >Spare in inventory > Apologue waves the gun around. "I guess....in holster 2? Since 1 would be my other gun." <Hebizuka> *the PM-63 is in Auxiliary right now, either holster is free at the moment* <Hebizuka> *Equip in Holster 2?* > Apologue squints her eyes. "Yes." <Hebizuka> *Weapon equipped!* <Hebizuka> *There appears to be nothing else around.* > Apologue puckers one of her cheeks and looks around. "Well...alright. That was something that happened. Free guns." <Hebizuka> [Next rooms] Left: Bedroom (bunks), abandoned / Front: Trash room, disaffected / Right: Warehouse room, disaffected > Apologue cocks a brow at the display. "What's disaffected mean?" <Hebizuka> *They're indicators on the state of disrepair of the room. The worse they are, the less likely you'll find functional furniture or extra items. Some rooms don't even have electricity coverage anymore and are completely dark, which might obscure potential dangers, such as monsters.* > Apologue sighs a bit and rubs the back of her neck, a feeling she was still getting use to. "Er. I meant what state does disaffected denote. I figured the other part more or less." <Hebizuka> *From least to worst: Deserted, abandoned, disaffected, forsaken, overgrown.* > Apologue huhs as she reads all of it. "It's like the tall grass in pokemon. Guess i'm going into the bedroom. Goddesses, that's not silly sounding." <Hebizuka> *An abandoned bedroom with five bunk beds. You spot two containers, but also and more importantly, a group of stray wolves roaming about. There are two wolves.* > Apologue scrunches her brow at the senario. "Why are there even wolves in a bedroom?!" she yells out and then draws her gun. She'd likely need to fight her way through all this. Well, assuming she could figure out how to fire the gun with these big bulky hoof legs. <Hebizuka> *Engaging the wolves in a fight. Combat starts!* <Hebizuka> [What to do?] >Seek cover >Attack >Inventory >Run away > Apologue looks around. Can she climb onto the bunk bed? <Hebizuka> *During combat, all furniture is part of the background. If you're looking for cover, you will want to type @cover first to see if there is any on your side.* > Apologue watches the world dissolve into a flat 2-d representation of the room. "This universe has some really weird physics." she comments before perking up. <Apologue> @cover <MazeBot> No cover at all! <Apologue> Darn. <Hebizuka> *Your only options are to fight, use an item, or flee.* > Apologue looks around. "I guess I'll attack?" she questions and looks at the gun. <Hebizuka> *Select a weapon first.* <Hebizuka> *Generally speaking, the weapons that are available to you in combat are those you have equipped. There are exceptions to that but let's focus on the basics.* > Apologue picks up the weapon she got by default then. Best try it out to see which gun is ultimately better. <Hebizuka> *PM-63 RAK?* > Apologue checks the band on her gun's undies. "Yes." she says with an air of finality. <Hebizuka> *Step two, selecting a target. That's easy though, it's one of the two wolves, either one doesn't matter as they're both at full health.* <Hebizuka> *Step 3, target a body part. Different body parts mean different damage and accuracy modifiers. Think rationally - while the body is easiest to hit, limbs have less health, head and extremities have even less health but are harder to hit, and so on. Some enemies have weak points as well, but they tend to be hard to hit.* <Hebizuka> *It's a matter of choosing what you think will lead you to your goal the fastest.* > Apologue is just gunna shoot for the heads, the room shouldn't be terribly big. How hard could it be to miss? <Hebizuka> *Step 4, choose a fire mode. Your PM-63 is a submachine gun, it can fire in either semi (calls for Semi Rifle skill) or full-auto (Auto Rifle skill).* > Apologue looks around and stares up at the sky gods. "Uh....semi Auto? I don't think it really matters since I have little experience in either." <Hebizuka> *Step 5, making the weapon fire. Since you chose Semi, you can pick how many times you want to shoot, up to 10 shots.* <Hebizuka> *How many rounds will you attempt firing?* > Apologue supposes she will attempt seven. <Hebizuka> *Those are the five major steps ; pick weapon, pick target, pick body part, pick fire mode if your weapon has multiple, and pick trigger pulls.* <Hebizuka> *What you want to do can be summed up this way: "PM-63, Wolf, head, semi, 7 shots.* <Hebizuka> *Any problems getting all that?* <Apologue> Nah, seems simple enough. Similar for melee weapons too or? Also can I give my gun a nickname? <Hebizuka> *Yes, melee weapons work similarly. And yes, you can nickname your weapons, just make sure to tell me.* <Hebizuka> *Order this turn: Wolf1, Wolf2, You.* <Hebizuka> *Turn 1 begins. Wolf1's turn...* <Hebizuka> @bodyaim <MazeBot> [Human] Right arm ; [Non-human] LIMB group <Hebizuka> @roll 2d6 <MazeBot> Hebizuka: 8 > Apologue ows. <Hebizuka> *One of the wolves growls, closes the distance and moves into your side, then successfully bites your right arm.* > Apologue 's arm is half broken. Ow! <Hebizuka> *We'll see if it is, let me calc damage.* <Hebizuka> [Damage] Pain: 4% (+4), Right arm HP: 12/16 (-4). No bleeding wound sustained (arm guards prevented it).* <Hebizuka> *It stung a little bit and it's gonna leave a mark, but you're surprisingly not as badly hurt as it could have been. Thank gods for protection.* <Hebizuka> *Wolf2's turn...* <Hebizuka> @bodyaim <MazeBot> [Human] Torso, chest, back ; [Non-human] (UPPER) BODY group <Hebizuka> *The other one moves in to try and bite you as well.* <Hebizuka> @roll 2d6 <MazeBot> Hebizuka: 8 <Hebizuka> *He succeeds as well, and his teeth meet your kevlar vest.* <Hebizuka> [Damage] Pain: 19% (+15), No limb damage sustained, no bleeding wound sustained (kevlar vest prevented limb damage in the first place).* <Hebizuka> *Your turn.* <Hebizuka> *As you chose to fire 7 rounds, please type: @roll 7#2d6. 7 for 7 shots, #2d6 for rolling 7 times 2d6, one for each shot.* <Apologue> @roll 7#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 4;10;5;11;11;7;8 <Hebizuka> *Shots 1-7: 3 hits, 4 misses.* <Apologue> Man my aim is shit! <Hebizuka> *You managed to land three rounds into Wolf #1's head. That may be just what you need despite the poor precision...* > Apologue waits the damage calc with baited breath. <Hebizuka> [Damage dealt] 202% Pain, Head HP: -13/3 (16 dmg). Injuries sustained: 3 bleeding wounds to the head.* <Hebizuka> *Wolf #1's head is mangled beyond repair and all but nearly explodes.* <Hebizuka> *It's messy, but it's pretty damn effective.* > Apologue huhs. Maybe a little too much mustard. <Hebizuka> Apologue [PM-63 RAK] Wolf #1 /H\ [B] <Hebizuka> *End of Turn 1.* <Hebizuka> *One assailant dead, one remaining.* <Hebizuka> *Turn 2. What will you do this time?* > Apologue will fire five shots into the wolf's head! > Apologue takes all that back and pulls out the other gun she picked up, on the Highway. IZHMEKH....something something. > Apologue then fires four shots into the wolf's head. <Hebizuka> *The Makarov, yeah.* <Apologue> They're both makarov tho <Hebizuka> *Makarov PM then. Or just the PM.* <Apologue> Mkay. <Hebizuka> *The wolf will attempt biting you again.* <Hebizuka> *Order this turn: You, Wolf2.* <Hebizuka> *You may roll now.* <Hebizuka> *This time, 4#2d6. And so on, you get the drill!* <Apologue> @4#2d6 <Apologue> @roll 4#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 6;7;4;12 <Hebizuka> */!\ Unskilled at Semi-auto pistol, sustaining an accuracy malus (FT+1)* <Hebizuka> *Shots 1-4: 3 misses, 1 critical hit* > Apologue grumbles and waves the gun around. "Dumb weird noodle hooves. I can't control them right. I want my hooves back!" <Hebizuka> *Your target only receives one of the four pills of lead medicine you intended to give it, but it receives it in the head, and it seems to have done a great deal of pain to the canine...* <Hebizuka> [Damage dealt] Pain: +64%, Head HP: 0/3 (3 dmg), injuries sustained: 1 bleeding wound. Special damage sustained: 3 turns stunned.* <Hebizuka> *The wolf won't have the time to be stunned very long - you just popped his skull down to 0 health. That's an instant kill.* <Hebizuka> Apologue [Makarov PM] Wolf /H\ [B] <Hebizuka> *End of combat! (2 turns)* > Apologue cheers. "Woo! I'm not dead! Or even moderately hurt!" <Hebizuka> *Gained skill points. Semi rifle: +1 (total 11.0). Semi pistol: +1 (total 1.0).* <Hebizuka> *Well done, Apologue. Exiting combat. You can now search the room and loot what you can.* > Apologue decides to search the room then! Gotta get all that early game loots. <Hebizuka> *Aside from two dead wolves, you see two containers, and a few good spent casings.* <Hebizuka> [Container] Frame: Wooden / Lock: Mechanical / Serial number: 1373 / Trapped: No <Hebizuka> [Container] Frame: Wooden / Lock: Mechanical / Serial number: 2170 / Trapped: No <Hebizuka> [Handloading] Spent case, 9x18mm Makarov - weight: 0.01 - [Quantity: 3] > Apologue looks around. "Can I use my gun as an improvised club and break open the case?" <Hebizuka> *You can certainly engage the containers in combat.* > Apologue looks at the sky gods with a baffled expression. "That's not...weird." <Hebizuka> *You can attack containers until they break, but it may be time consuming.* <Apologue> Huh, I'm guessing this has some backdraw?" <Hebizuka> *Without lockpicking, brute-forcing your way through a container takes time and can break items inside. If the containers are trapped, attacking them will set traps off too.* > Apologue lets out a sigh and spins the gun around, using the butt as an improvized mace. Better get this over with. <Hebizuka> *Combat begins.* <Hebizuka> *Engaging the containers in combat. Attacking the first one ; you confirm that you're using your PM-63 as a bludgeon, right?* <Apologue> ...yes. <Apologue> The pistol. <Hebizuka> *Aim where?* >Frame >Lock <Apologue> Frame. <Apologue> Nah, Lock. <Apologue> but it's smaller. <Hebizuka> *Frames are less tough but more health. Locks tend to be the inverse; less health but tougher.* > Apologue nods. Well I'll go for the frame. <Hebizuka> *You may attempt up to 2 hits in one turn. Attack twice?* <Apologue> Yes <Hebizuka> *Order this turn: You alone. You may roll now.* <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 9;7 <Hebizuka> *Bludgeoning calls for Blunt weapon skill.* <Hebizuka> *Attacks 1-2: 2 hits.* <Hebizuka> *You gave the container's frame two good whacks. You see cracks and bulges forming from your strikes, showing you did some damage to the #1373 container.* <Hebizuka> *Unfortunately you hear things breaking apart inside of the container as you whack it. You have the feeling you broke something in the loot.* <Hebizuka> *End of Turn 1.* > Apologue wishes she had a wedge. <Hebizuka> *Turn 2. The container is still mostly in shape, aside from the damage you begun inflicting.* <Hebizuka> *What to do now?* > Apologue smacks it again. <Hebizuka> *Twice again?* <Apologue> Does which group change the amount of damage the loot takes? > Apologue also knocks it twice again. <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 3;6 <Hebizuka> *Two hits, but neither did damage. (Misses are treated as ineffective hits when hitting inanimate objects.)* > Apologue scrunches her nose. > Apologue smacks it again! <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 11;4 <Hebizuka> *Attacking the lock itself is safer for the loot inside - the chance to damage loot if you hit the lock rather than the frame is reduced, but not completely negated.* <Hebizuka> *Two more smacks to the frame. Only one of them causes any significant damage.* > Apologue snorts. Figures. > Apologue bashes it again. Gunna get this open if it kills the goodies. <Hebizuka> *Container #1's frame is about one third of the way to be defeated. <Hebizuka> *End of Turn 3.* <Hebizuka> *Turn 4. Keep hitting?* <Apologue> Ye <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 10;8 <Hebizuka> *Slowly but surely, damage creeps across the wooden frame. The frame is now about 40% broken.* <Hebizuka> *End of Turn 4.* <Hebizuka> *Turn 5.* > Apologue smacks it again! <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 6;6 <Hebizuka> *Two hits to no avail.* <Hebizuka> *It looks like this will take a while...* <Hebizuka> *End of Turn 5.* <Hebizuka> *Turn 6. What now?* <Apologue> Should I just roll a whole bunch of times and then calc each as a turn? <Hebizuka> *If you desire.* <Apologue> Should I just roll a whole bunch of times and then calc each as a turn? <Apologue> Whoops <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 6;5 <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 6;5 <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 7;4 <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 8;7 <Hebizuka> *Turns 6 to 10: All ineffective hits.* <Hebizuka> *This is proving to be a tough nut to crack.* > Apologue sniffles and beats on the box like a drum. <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 6;9 <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 5;11 <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 8;9 <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 11;8 <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 9;10 <Hebizuka> *Turns 11 to 15: 7 good hits inflicted.* <Hebizuka> *Finally the container is showing serious signs of wear. In fact, it's almost done and dead. Just one more good hit like the last few, and you can pry that thing open...* <Hebizuka> *Turn 16. What's your next move?* > Apologue sighs softly. <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 4;4 <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 6;8 <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 9;10 <Hebizuka> *Turns 16 and 17 were to no avail. But on turn 18...* <Hebizuka> *You inflict two good hits, and it's the last two you ever needed.* <Hebizuka> *End of combat (18 turns) - the container's frame has been trashed open.* > Apologue watches expectantly as the box collapses in her lap. <Hebizuka> *The container is destroyed. Out comes the contents...* <Hebizuka> =Container contents= <Hebizuka> [LBE] (Backpack) Jaeger rucksack - Capacity 60 units <Hebizuka> *Destroyed remains of a food item.* <Hebizuka> *Destroyed remains of a food item.* <Hebizuka> *Destroyed remains of a medical item.* <Hebizuka> *Destroyed remains of a medical item.* <Hebizuka> *Destroyed remains of a medical item.* <Hebizuka> [Weapon] Class 3 - R2/Regular - Smith & Wesson Model 500 revolver | .500 S&W Magnum - DA/SA - 8.75" | M.Brake(I) | Cylinder, 5 rounds | Weight: 5 - [5/5, Lead] - Cond: Brand new / Clns: Lubricated <Hebizuka> [Weapon accessory] Speedloader: .500 S&W Magnum 5-round speedloader. Weight: 0.25+0.25 (0.5) - [5/5 Lead] <Hebizuka> [Weapon accessory] Speedloader: .500 S&W Magnum 5-round speedloader. Weight: 0.25+0.25 (0.5) - [5/5 Lead] <Hebizuka> *The destroyed items have been discarded. What will you do with the rest?* > Apologue guesses she'll save the gun and all the giblets and then get to work on the other box! D:< <Hebizuka> *Equip the Model 500? (May go in Holster 1)* <Apologue> I....guess? <Hebizuka> *Are you taking the speedloaders?* > Apologue puts the big honkin gun in her open holster. Feels like a cop now, all armed to the teeth. "Yeah, why not. Dunno what they are, but they're prolly worth something!" <Hebizuka> *Speedloaders are, to simplify it, magazines for revolvers. You can reload faster with one than with just loading rounds by hand.* <Hebizuka> *You also found a Jaeger rucksack, which is a direct uprgade over your current backpack. Switch to it?* <Apologue> Aww yeah. <Apologue> Stuff a bag inside a bag. <Hebizuka> *You can't actually stuff a bag inside a bag or any LBE item inside another LBE item - specifically to avoid the bagception problem* <Hebizuka> *Instead, when you find a bag that's better than yours, you can upgrade to it and transfer all the items inside at once.* <Apologue> But what happens to my old bag? <Hebizuka> *It's dropped on the floor.* <Apologue> Darn. <Apologue> Can't I sell it? <Apologue> Tie it to my boot <Hebizuka> *Technically you could but it's just difficult to sell load-bearing gear unless you're already at a shop to begin with. <Hebizuka> *As in, at a shop and upgrading your gear there.* > Apologue hums. A shame. > Apologue plops down on the floor and pulls over the second box. Time to crack it open. <Hebizuka> *You didn't reply though, do you want to upgrade to the Jaeger rucksack?* <Apologue> Oh yeah. I do. <Hebizuka> *Alright. And don't forget to add the speedloaders under Ammunition.* <Hebizuka> *Upgrading backpack...* <Hebizuka> *You ditched the Courier bag and transferred your items over to the new Jaeger rucksack. You now have a backpack carrying capacity of 60 units.* <Hebizuka> [Pack/Main] 1.25 /60 > Apologue nods approvingly. <Hebizuka> *On to breaking the second container?* <Apologue> Yes. <Hebizuka> *Engaging in combat.* > Apologue readies her makeshift blunt object. <Hebizuka> *As before ,attacking frame with PM-63 as bludgeon?* <Apologue> NO, attacking the lock. <Hebizuka> *Alright, going for the lock. Hack away as many turns as you see fit.ยต <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 3;8 <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 10;7 <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 8;8 <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 7;4 <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 6;6 <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 9;6 <Hebizuka> *6 turns, 5 solid hits.* <Hebizuka> *You heard the sound of something getting sprotched inside. Something soft and mushy.* > Apologue hoboys. <Hebizuka> *You did a number to the mechanical lock - it's probably never gonna accept a key ever again, but it's still standing.* <Hebizuka> *With that said, you're nearly halfway done knocking it apart.* <Hebizuka> *Turn 7. Next move?* > Apologue nods approvingly. <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 8;7 <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 11;12 <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 6;6 <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 8;7 <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 11;10 <Hebizuka> *Turns 7-10, 7 solid hits, including a critical.* > Apologue claps. <Hebizuka> *It's not going to resist for much longer.* <Hebizuka> *Turn 11, next move?* <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 6;4 <Apologue> @roll 2#2d6 <MazeBot> Apologue: 9;10 <Hebizuka> *Turns 11-12: 2 solid hits. The container is stripped of its protection, you can now open it!* <Hebizuka> *End of combat (14 turns).* > Apologue hums the zelda chest tune as she opens. <Hebizuka> =Container contents= <Hebizuka> *Destroyed remains of a food item. It smells like seafood.* <Hebizuka> *A piece of paper with a rumor written on it:* "They say that suicidal zombies exist; they are probably sad and lonely. Give them a hug!" <Hebizuka> *Sadly there is nothing else of use. Not all containers are good ones!...* > Apologue feels better for the experience however. <Hebizuka> Checkout
