The parallar, shortened form of (para-dollar), commonly abbreviated as P$, is the currency used in Mazeworld. It is also informally known as Maze bucks or simply bucks, similarly to real world slang for US dollars.

Parallars are strictly denominated in coins, formally known as the One Parallar coin. It is a small coin, with a stylized 1 on the obverse, and the MzW logo on the reverse, the same one found on the logos and shoulder patches of official personnel (such as Maze Soldiers).

A single parallar coin weighs 0.01 unit - as such, 100 P$ weigh 1 unit. They have a diameter of 17.78mm (0.700 inch) and a thickness of 1.27mm (0.050 inch). It is made of 6061-t6 aluminium, which gives it a distinctive silvery color. This material is used in the manufacturing process of many firearms, and is a generally useful all-purpose metal. One coin weighs approximately 0.85 gram (~0.03 oz, ~13 grains).
