Not to be confused with one of the Four Horsemen of the same name.
Death is the complete termination of one's vital functions.
In the game
Preferably, contestants will want to save their own lives, and eliminate those who threaten their own. Killing enemy encounters is the usual way to deal with them and what most contestants go for, and in some situations it is the only choice.
Contestant death is what you, as a player, must prevent at all costs, as MazeWorld features permanent death. If your Contestant dies, your progress is over.
A wide variety of possible causes of death exist ; usually they are the result of combat, with the most common causes of death being Pain and Blood loss, and usually these deaths are preventable, generally through forms of healing and preventing relevant statistics from reaching the point of causing death. It is even possible to cancel Pain death by using a LifeVest wearable defibrillator.
