The 9x18mm Makarov (also known as 9x18mm PM, 9mm Makarov, and sometimes shortened to "9mm Mak") is a handgun cartridge developed in 1951 by the Soviet Union. It is a somewhat rare cartridge used in handguns and submachine guns. It is considered a very low-tier caliber due to its low power and velocity.
