A FRAG-12 shell is a type of load for 12 gauge shotgun shells.

It is similar to a standard slug, at the exception that the projectile is not a slug, but a small, fin-stabilized explosive charge. In theory, FRAG-12 ammunition are like grenades from grenade launchers, though since they are loaded in shotgun shells and designed to be fired from shotguns, they shall be referred to as such.

This ammunition does not deal Bullet-type damage, but Explosive-type damage and localized explosions.
