It has such a strong sedative effect, it can be used for short-time treatment of insomnia and severe sleep trouble with ease. It has also been used to treat acute seizures, anxiety, and used as a sedative to calm down aggressive or excited patients. Naturally, it is not recommended to use this substance on oneself or allies, unless the Contestant wishes for some reason to be asleep and wants a surefire way to find sleep on the spot. It is similar to the Resting ability, without the random chance - instead succeeding immediately, with appropriate effects.
It may also be used to craft Tranq darts, used by the Fukiya, which allows for delivery of the sedative using a ranged weapon.
