A forge is a business in Mazeworld specialized in buying and selling melee weapons, specifically Class 5 and Handgear. and, for the rare cases of Class 5 weapons with some, ammunition. Forges are specialized and won't deal with firearms at all. They are much rarer than the gun shops as they are not scripted encounters.

Forges are their own kind of roomstyle. If this forge is occupied by a working blacksmith, then the forge is an active shop and can be used as such.

Rules of a forge

  • Sells 8 random Class 5 and/or Handgear weapons.
  • Only sells ammunition for the weapons on the list, if applicable.
  • Only sells one exemplary of every weapon displayed.
  • Only sells the equivalent of a big box of ammo of every caliber displayed, if applicable.
  • Buys back all types of weapons, ammo and accessories for 50% of their value.
  • Accepts credit.
  • Accepts valuables and will exchange them for money or credit.
  • For 3 weapons bought, all subsequent purchases are 50% off (valid until the contestant leaves the room).

When threatened, a blacksmith will use his/her personal weapon, a Taser M26, on the contestant to stun him/her and prevent him from attacking any further.
If the blacksmith is killed in action, the contestant will not be able to use ANY active forge in the game anymore, and any subsequent room in which an active forge was meant to be found will be instead considered a crime scene guarded by Maze Guards.
Threatening or attacking a blacksmith gives the contestant a code orange, and killing one instantly increases it to a code red.

If the blacksmith dies, he/she will drop the following:
