A Contestant, and effectively, any encounter with a mobile phone, can call a contact.
It is possible for a Contestant to meet random people in the Mazes and acquire their phone numbers and contact information. Any kind of encounter susceptible of using a mobile phone, can have one and in turn, have a phone number. The call can be about anything, and the contacts can have any conversation the Contestant desires to have. However, the Contestants cannot -receive- calls, as their location is ever-changing.
Contact calling also allows to ask for the contacts the Contestant calls to come and meet them wherever he/she is, effectively working as another version of backup calling; an ability only certain encounters, such as youkai activists, Soldiers, and more, can perform.
In order for a call to meet occur, the following conditions must be respected:
- The contact states they are available and can come meet the Contestant.
- The distance between the Contestant and that contact depends on a dice roll, which will determine the amount of turns that contact will take to meet with the Contestant (which may require Waiting on his/her part). The roll required is a 2d20+1.
- If the roll result is 25 or more, the contact is too far away, and will state they cannot come.
