Several kinds of characters are populating Mazeworld, you may want to get to know them all.

Main characters

• The Contestant, the protagonist and player character.
• The Administrator, the overseer and ruler of the Mazes.
• The Cardinal Gods, Angelic deities, whose likeness is represented on the Cardinal Amulets sought for by the Contestant.

Faction leaders

• Lance "Chaosclaw" Austin, the only Bionics expert in the Mazes
• Colonel Thomas Wight, the leader of the Maze Military
• Satoshi Sangi, also known as Kurome, the leader of Youkai activism
• Sheriff Len Hargrave, the leader of the Maze Police
• Michael Yatela, don of the Yatela crime family, and de jure leader of the Outlaw faction.
• Heaven, Ltd., the entity that employs the Angelic faction.
• Hell, Inc., the entity that employs the Demonic faction.

Quest characters

• Dr. Philip Gage, chief of the Medical Science Team, mayor of Arnett and one of the people responsible for rebuilding the Contestant's body.
