The 5.56x45mm NATO (also known as 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington) is a small rifle caliber developed in 1964, and suited for assault rifles and light machine guns. It is a moderately powerful round, but extremely common and reliable. Very popular in the Mazes, it is considered a medium-tier caliber.

How to read this?

  • Available for purchase in a gun shop or a weapon shop, in retail boxes of 20 rounds (60 P$/box)
  • Ammo belts exist for the FN Minimi (200 rounds, 800 P$, 2.5 units empty) and the IMI Negev (150 rounds, 675 P$, 2 units empty)
  • Value of a single round is 3 P$
  • Recoil level of this round is 2 - Light

It must be noted that belts for the Minimi and for the Negev are not interchangeable.
