FG-7142 is a substance with anorectic, anxiogenic and convulsant effects. It is commonly used for its anorectic properties, as a "meal size reduction" drug since its primary effect is to drastically suppress appetite. It is popular in obesity and eating disorder treatments, although it has controversial side-effects. As an anxiogenic and a convulsant, the substance causes anxiety to their users and may induce convulsions or seizures.

Strategy

In Mazeworld, FG-7142 is a hunger suppressant drug, which freezes the contestant's Hunger as long as he/she is under its effects. This is useful in an emergency, if the contestant lacks food to quell hunger and doesn't want to risk starvation. In addition, the drug gives increased alertness, another coveted effect which may reduce the risk of being caught in a trap.

FG-7142 has no negative effects, making it a potent and useful survival drug.

Being a red pill, it is strongly required the drug is kept until the contestant finds a medic or a peaceful scientist to identify the tablet, as it shares its appearance with Desoxyn, SSRIs and a form of Placebo.
