In a sense, slugs can be compared to bullets, as they are essentially hunks of rifled lead made to mimic the performance of a traditional rifle. In terms of performance, it fares pretty well and delivers very respectable power, although at a somewhat low muzzle velocity.

Incendiary slugs, as the name implies, are similar to standard [[Slug|slugs]], though they are hollow-points instead of solid. Inside of the hollow cavity, these slugs carry a small charge of a highly flammable, magnesium-based compound which ignites when the slug strikes a target, instantly [[Secondary effects#Elemental|setting it on fire]].

Incendiary slug (also known as I-Slug) is a projectile type for 12 gauge and .410 bore shotgun shells. Incendiary slug shells contain a single, special projectile similar to a standard Slug, but augmented with a highly flammable magnesium-based compound, designated MgX charges for "magnesium explosive charge". 12 gauge I-Slugs contain 2 MgX charges, whereas .410 I-Slugs contain only 1. This compound ignites upon impact, which can set targets on fire.
