Article

The Legendary Shrine is a hidden location within Mazeworld that the contestant can access only if they have completed certain objectives.

Prerequisites

Attempting the Normal missions

  • 4 missions completed
  • Mission 5 completed, OR in progress, but must not have been failed.
  • Entering the room after accepting/completing Mission 5

Attempting the Alternate missions

Attempting the Contract missions

  • Completing any 5 Contracts
  • After the fifth contract is completed, the hiring bureau will have only one door; it leads to this quest.

Attempting the Co-op mode missions

As soon as the contestant completes those prerequisites, the GMs will interrupt him/her. The Game Masters are seeing potential in the contestant, and decided that for coming this far, it must be because he/she is a "valuable person that deserves to be helped in victory."

If, at the required room, the contestant has not completed all the prerequisites, the GM will comment on this, explaining that the contestant "is missing out on a lot of things", indicating that this event has been locked forever.

The GM will ask the following question: Did you help out the person you met?/Are you out to help the person you met depending on if the contestant finished or is still running Mission 5 or A5. Regardless of the question, if the contestant says…

  • Yes: The contestant will enter the shrine.
  • No: The GMs will not allow entrance to the shrine and the contestant will resume his/her exploration.

The shrine

If those objectives have been completed and the contestant said yes, the GMs will immediately teleport the contestant in a special room in which a special shrine maiden (the Legendary Shrine Maiden, guardian of the Legendary Weapons, known to dress in black and white as a symbol of her status) is present, next to an altar.
The shrine maiden will ask the contestant to approach and touch the altar, then to cease moving, so the shrine maiden herself touches one of the contestant's arms, then his/her forehead.

The shrine maiden will then summon the weapons: the Sword of Muramasa, the Erupting Burning Gloves, and Stabagain.

The shrine maiden explains that one of those weapons is for the contestant, but they are the ones who decide if they're fit for him/her. As such, the shrine maiden must determinate which of the weapons is most connected with the contestant's soul… She will ask a series of questions that will determinate which weapon will be the most attracted to the contestant.
NOTE: It is possible that there is a tie in attractions. As such, the shrine maiden will ask the contestant which one he/she wants the most.

The questions

Question 1: If you found that your parents became mindless creatures and fought you inside Mazeworld, knowing that you're here to survive, what would you do?

  • Kill them without hesitation - it doesn't matter anymore
  • Refuse to kill them - they're your parents!
  • Will be hesitant/reluctant as to what to do

Question 2: What suits best your fighting style?

  • Broad all-out attacking
  • Cunning or deceptive tricks
  • Fair face-to-face fights

Question 3: You don't have enough money to buy wares in a shop, yet you keep them. The shop owner wants revenge, what do you do?

  • You prepare for the fight if that's what he wants
  • You propose to repay him through other ways
  • You try to calm him down and give back the wares

Question 4: You are badly hurt and you only have one medical aid left. You meet a creature of a species known for being cunning and deceptive, that is also badly hurt and
begging for help. What do you do?

  • You give the creature your last medicine and you try to search another way for yourself
  • You kill the creature, you don't want to be back-stabbed
  • You ignore the creature and you only take care of yourself

Question 5: You are a knight serving a king that likes you but is stupid. How do you act towards him?

  • You make sure it's good for your own sake every time
  • You always follow his orders, regardless of how they sound - he's the king after all
  • You don't mind much as long it's not dangerous for you

Question 6: Which one of those weapons appeal the most to you?

  • The Muramasa
  • The Gloves
  • The Stabagain

The results

The shrine maiden will recount the answers and determinate which weapon is most suited to the contestant. If she determinates there is a tie and two, or all three weapons are equally attracted to the contestant, he/she will be allowed to choose between the tied weapons.

For balance reasons, the wiki will not give what answers give more attraction to what weapon.

Co-op mode

Even though there are two contestants involved instead of only one, the questionnaire will be asked to both contestants, but only one weapon will be given to the pair. It will then be up to the team to figure themselves out with their acquisition.

Notice

It is possible to refuse the Legendary Weapon offered at the end, should the contestant feels unfit or unsuitable for him/her to receive one.
