The 85mm rocket propelled grenade, referred simply to as 85mm RPG, is a rocket-propelled grenade warhead developed specifically for the Bazalt RPG-7 and its variants.

It is a type of explosive ordnance, as such it delivers explosive-type damage.

Real-life data

The 85mm RPG warhead was specifically developed for the RPG-7 and all of its variants. It is a rocket-propelled grenade, which itself has been declined in several variants, to serve anti-matériel (High-Explosive Anti-Tank or HEAT) and anti-personnel (Thermobaric High-Explosive, or HE) purposes.

Designed to explode upon impact, the rocket has an effective range of 200 meters, but as the distance between the operator and its target decreases, the more the chances of hitting the target. Tests conducted by the U.S. Army estimated that at 50 and 100 meters, the rocket has roughly 100% chances of hitting the target, while at 200 meters, this number drops abruptly to 51%, and even more past its effective range (with an abysmal 4% at 500 meters).

The rocket possesses a 4.5 second fuze, and will self-detonate if it doesn't hit a target past a certain distance of approximately 900 meters.

How to read this?

Unsurprisingly, the 85mm RPG deals high damage. As an explosive ordnance, and a rocket launcher-grade warhead, it is a deadly force to be reckoned with, benefiting from the advantage of explosive damage type bonus of being able to blow off limbs from its targets.

While these may be strong advantages, this is a rare type of ammunition, that can be found at random in the rooms in boxes of either one or six warheads, but it is also a heavy kind of ammunition - being rockets, a single one weighs 3 units, rendering ammunition conservation difficult; not to mention the high price of a single rocket (150 P$).
