The VGM-93 grenade is a kind of explosive ordnance developed in the early 1990s by KBP Instrument Design Bureau. It is one of the rare incendiary devices in MazeWorld.

Real-life data

VGM-93 grenades were developed for use in the unique KBP GM94, a pump-action grenade launcher. They are both explosive and incendiary.

Not much is known about the VGM-93s other than they are 43mm incendiary grenades incompatible in any other known weapon system and are known to have a higher claimed blast radius and flammability than other incendiary grenades.

How to read this?

VGM-93 grenades are one of the rare incendiary devices in MazeWorld. It is capable of setting enemies on fire, but remains however an Explosive-type weapon; it is very much capable of blowing limbs away from targets if well-aimed.

Being explosive ordnance, care is of course required when firing the grenade; any dramatic failure (double 1) may be hazardous for both the contestant and the eventual enemies he/she may encounter armed with such a weapon.

Although the blast it produces upon exploding isn't made to kill, the entire point of the weapon is to set enemies on fire, which causes a permanent +5% Pain per turn unless the victim attempts putting out the fire, if it can. It is best used as a deterrent, or a way to increase damage done to the enemy every turn, crippling it.

VGM-93 grenades are very rare. They can be found alone or in small batches of 3 or 6, at random in the rooms, or bought in a gun shop or a weapon shop, in those boxes of either 3 or 6. They are however somewhat cheap; each grenade costs only 80 P$, though each weighs 1 unit in the backpack.
