Paracetamol, also known as acetaminophen, is a widely used and well-known analgesic drug. Known in the real-life world by several trade names such as Actimin, Panadol, Tylenol, Efferalgan and many others.
The substance is commonly used as an analgesic (painkiller) and an antipyretic (fever reduction), it is known for having little to no adverse effects provided the doses are not too high. It is however, an easily abused drug, and overdosing on paracetamol may cause liver failure, resulting in poisoning. It is one of the most common causes of poisoning worldwide.
Strategy
Paracetamol is one of the major analgesic (aka painkiller) drugs in Mazeworld. Its main effect causes Pain decreases along with other negative side-effects.
Of all the analgesic drugs in Mazeworld, Paracetamol is among the less strong ones, reducing Pain by 30% only. It has the advantage however, to not give the user any negative side-effects, and should be taken first before any stronger analgesic substance that may cause side-effects.
However, one shouldn't be tempted to consume multiple tablets of paracetamol, as the doses in Mazeworld are very high. After the consumption of a tablet, a countdown is tracked on the contestant (which he/she isn't aware of), and lasts 10 turns. If the contestant consumes another paracetamol tablet before this countdown reaches 0, he/she will be poisoned.
Aside from the usual methods of finding (at random in the rooms or purchased in a hospital room), Paracetamol can notably be found in MEDAID1 crates.
Being a white tablet, it is strongly required the drug is kept until the contestant finds a medic or a peaceful scientist to identify the tablet, as it shares its appearance with Codeine, Diazepam, Ecstasy, Flunitrazepam, LSD, Oxycodone, and a form of Placebo.
