Charging is an ability, which consists in using a melee Class 5 Long weapon with a Piercing damage type attack (this excludes: Ranged melee weapons, Nailed plank, Pick-axe), and charging forwards, point first, into an enemy in a single, powerful attack.

  • The charge can also be performed with firearms if they have affixed bayonets - it then becomes a bayonet charge, but the principle and rulings remain the exact same.

Charging can only be performed once per turn, as it will put the attacker within melee range of their target's side, but it can be aimed at any body part or specific target.

Charging imparts no particular penalties, other than it can only allow one hit per turn. If an attack performed while Charging successfully hits the target, the weapon deals 1.5x Pain and Limb damage due to the extra strength and momentum.
