Diazepam is a benzodiazepine drug. Better known by its trade name Valium, Diazepam is commonly used to treat anxiety, insomnia, seizures, muscle spasms and other conditions. It has also found a niche use among snipers and sharp-shooters, because of its skeletal muscle relaxant and sedative properties, helping reduce sway and increase concentration. For this reason it is sometimes nicknamed the "sniper's drug".
It is known for having paradoxical adverse effects in some cases, such as increased heart rate, and therefore, excitement and rage, nullifying the sedative effects of the drug.

Strategy

In Mazeworld, Diazepam is used as combat enhancing drugs, allowing a contestant to possess the coveted increased alertness secondary effect, as well as a reduction of his/her failure threshold through increased accuracy.

However, it also increases Pain sensitivity, putting the contestant at risk of taking more damage than usual. It is a mildly severe condition that should only be considered if the contestant is using this substance in a situation where he/she is susceptible to be hit hard. Paradoxically, the best way to use this drug is to make full use of its accuracy-enhancing effects and eliminate the threat the quickest possible.

True to its nickname of "sniper's drug", Diazepam is particularly effective when used in conjuction with accurized weapons and proper sniper rifles, especially so with high-powered weapons, as increased accuracy is critical to their maximum effectiveness

Aside from the usual methods of finding (at random in the rooms or purchased in a hospital room), Diazepam can notably be found in TYPE-A crates.

Being a white tablet, it is strongly required the drug is kept until the contestant finds a medic or a peaceful scientist to identify the tablet, as it shares its appearance with Codeine, Ecstasy, Flunitrazepam, LSD, Oxycodone, Paracetamol, and a form of Placebo.
