The act of identifying unknown objects is part of Mazeworld. Identification is required to tell apart items that look the same, but are in fact, different.

The following items may be identified:

How to identify items

A contestant cannot usually identify by himself/herself items.

Gems can be identified by archaeologists and medical aids by medics. Peaceful scientists can identify both gems and meds, and can test safely whether a food item is poisonous or not. Engineers can give for free the DV/RV percentage values of the contestant's firearms.

Certain items may be found already identified. This is the case of items found in crates, for example.

Lastly, a bionic implant allows a contestant to gain the ability to identify all types of items by themselves; the Item Composition Identification Scanner (ICIS).
