Weapon customization services rely on the principle of weapon families - specific firearms belonging to the same family (typically they share the same base design) are eligible for extensive customization, due to innate design and/or popularity of the platform. There are 10 firearm families which can receive various types of modifications.
Firearms may also be customized visually - they simply serve to give a more unique description to the firearm, with the use of paint jobs and color schemes. Visual modifications can be done on any weapon, even if it doesn't belong to one of the Customs families, and bear no influence on the actual performance of the weapon.
Each Customs family will be detailed, along with the customization options available in each.
1911 Single Stack (1911SS)
This platform is based on the well-known M1911A1 platform, using a slimmer profile and single-stack magazines. They are praised for their high reliability, maintenance ease and customization options.

1911 Double Stack (1911DS)
Operating on the same principle as 1911SS firearms, 1911DS had to be differentiated due to their larger profile, allowing the use of larger magazines. They trade a little bit of reliability and ease of maintenance for much higher magazine capacity.
