Epinephrine, also known as adrenaline, is a catecholamine substance and a hormone, naturally produced in the body of many living beings.
Epinephrine increases heart rate, respiratory rate, constricts blood vessels, dilates air passages, and contributes to the "fight-or-flight" response. It is medically used to treat cardiac arrest and anaphylaxis because of its "jolting" properties. When administered in high doses, the substance causes tachycardia, arrhythmia, anxiety and headaches.

Strategy

Epinephrine is one of the rare substances in Mazeworld which procures only positive effects with no drawbacks. Litterally "jolting" the contestant's body when under its influence, adrenaline is an excellent combat-enhancing drug.

The substance provides increased alertness, strength and decreased Pain sensitivity, and so for a comfortable amount of time (up to 24 turns). It is one of the most sought-for medical aids in the game and, in turn, one of the most expensive, sold for no less than 500 P$ in hospital rooms, only beaten in price by Heroin.

Epinephrine also induces a state of forced wakefulness, which grants immunity against lorazepam or tranquilizers, but makes it impossible for the users to attempt resting or sleeping; as they simply will not fall asleep as long as the effect lasts.

Being a syringe, it is strongly required the drug is kept until the contestant finds a medic or a peaceful scientist to identify the pill, as it shares its appearance with Cyanide, Heroin, Lorazepam, Morphine and a form of Placebo.
