.32 ACP (also known as 7.65x17mm SR or .32 Auto) is a pistol cartridge designed in 1899 by John Moses Browning. First produced by FN Herstal, it was originally designed for use in the FN Herstal Model 1900 pistol. It then became a popular and widely used cartridge, for which a number of semi-automatic pistols were produced. Perhaps the most famous .32 ACP firearm is the Walther PPK, of James Bond fame.
