7.62x38mm R Nagant (no ontology)

From Mazeworld

7.62x38mm R Nagant (also known as simply 7.62mm Nagant) is a pistol cartridge designed in 1895 for use in the Nagant M1895 revolver. An unique cartridge for an equally unique firearm, 7.62mm Nagant is one of the rare few cartridges in the world where the bullet is completely seated inside of the case, making it seem like there is no bullet seated when viewed from the side. Although weak by modern standards, it was the standard service handgun cartridges of the Imperial Russian Army from 1895 to 1917, then of the Soviet military from 1917 until the 1950s, supplementing 7.62x25mm Tokarev before being finally replaced by 9x18mm Makarov.
