Several kinds of characters are populating Mazeworld, you may want to get to know them all.

Main characters

  • The contestant, the heroes or anti-heroes of their own adventure in the mazes
  • The Game Masters, the mysterious, sarcastic and sadistic rulers of the realm and administrators of the game
  • Genbu, Suzaku, Seiryuu and Byakko, the Cardinal Gods, bearers of the Cardinal Amulets sought for by the contestants

Maze Personnel

For more information about encounters in general, you may also want to check the list of encounters

The Maze Personnel defines all people in the Mazes with a specific occupation, at the exception of the Maze Citizens, which have no de jure main occupation but are nevertheless important elements of life in the Mazes. Most members of the Personnel are humans, but rare cases include youkai. It must be noted that many of them have a randomized physical appearance.

All people in the Personnel are protected by the law, except the military (All Soldiers and variants), the prisoners, the sex workers and the outlaws.
