Several kinds of characters are populating Mazeworld, you may want to get to know them all.

Main characters

• The Contestant, the hero or anti-hero of his/her own adventure in the Mazes
• The Administrator, the overseer and ruler of the Mazes.
• The Cardinal Gods, the source of power for the Cardinal Amulets sought for by the Contestant

Maze Personnel

The Maze Personnel defines all people in the Mazes with a specific occupation, at the exception of the Maze Citizens, which have no de jure main occupation but are nevertheless important elements of life in the Mazes. Most members of the Personnel are humans, but rare cases include youkai. It must be noted that many of them have a randomized physical appearance.

All people in the Personnel are protected by the law, except the youkai, the military (All Soldiers and variants), the prisoners, the sex workers and the outlaws.

• The outlaws; Black marketers, Gangsters, Desperados, Escorts Hitmen/hitwomen, Mercenaries, Ninjas, Kamikazes, and many less-identifiable criminals. Many outlaws organize themselves in groups and families.
• The youkai activists; armed non-wicked youkai devoted to fighting the Maze Soldiers.

Famous names

• Lance Chaosclaw, the only Bionics expert in the Mazes
• Colonel Thomas Wight, the leader of the Maze Military
• Sheriff Len Hargrave, the leader of the Police
